Applications Open

The admissions portal opens for the incoming cohort. Candidates register, upload credentials and pay the application fee online.

Primary Examination

The entrance examination for candidates seeking admission into residency training. Sat at approved centres.

Session Commences

Newly admitted residents are inducted and clinical postings begin across accredited training centres.

Part I Examination Diet

Written, clinical and oral examinations for residents completing the Part I coursework stage.

Dissertation Submission

Part II residents submit their research dissertations to their faculty for examination.

Part II Examination & Defence

Final professional examinations and oral defence of the dissertation before a panel of examiners.

Induction of Fellows

Successful candidates are admitted as Fellows of the Nigerian College of Optometrists at the annual convocation.
